Allow agents to override blocked bookings

As an administrator, you are able to allow your agents to override booking types that would otherwise be blocked for travelers under a given policy. This gives agents greater discretion to make an exception to a policy when needed (e.g., for restricted countries, users, or suppliers). You can also set the approval type that will be used for that booking.

This setting only affects booking types that would otherwise be blocked. This does give agents the ability to override all booking policy settings.
  1. Select Policies from the Program menu. The Settings page will be displayed with the Policy branch expanded on the left hand side.
  2. Select the desired policy (the Default policy is displayed by default). The selected policy will be displayed.
  3. Expand the General section.
  4. Enable the toggle for Allow agents to override blocked bookings. Agents will now be able to make bookings that would otherwise be blocked for travelers within this policy. Note: This bookings will still be marked as out-of-policy.
  5. Once enabled, you will also want to evaluate your approval settings for Air, Hotel, Car, and Rail. The default approval type for the Actions for agent overrides field is No action. For details on this field and setting approvals within policies, see Setting approval policies
  6. Click Save changes when done.
