Restrict hotel bookings by room rate conditions

You can restrict hotel bookings by room rate conditions. The conditions you select will be compared to the hotel room rate conditions. Travelers will not be allowed to book any hotel rates that match the conditions you selected. To set your restricted room rate conditions for hotels, use the procedure below.

  1. Login to the Online Booking Tool.
  2. Select Policies from the Program menu.
  3. Select the desired policy (e.g., Default Policy) in the left hand menu under Policy.
  4. Expand the Hotel section.
  5. Locate the Hotel rate conditions not allowed to be booked field and use the checkboxes to select the room rates to be restricted. Options are non-refundable, pre-paid, requires deposit, pay at property. Travelers will be restricted from booking hotel rooms that match any of the conditions selected.
  6. You can also customize the reason you are enabling these restrictions. This reason will be displayed to anyone attempting to book rooms that match the conditions you have restricted.
  7. Click Save changes. All hotel rates that match these conditions will now be restricted from being booked.
If you enabled any rate exclusions for Lowest property rate field, you should also ensure that a matching restriction has been set for the Hotel rate conditions not allowed to be booked field. Otherwise, you will still allow these room rate types to be booked even though they are excluded from the Lowest property rate calculation. For more details on this setting, see Set lowest property rate at hotel property.
