Change your profile name
If your name has been incorrectly entered in your profile or you have changed your name (marriage, legal name change, etc.), use this procedure to update your profile to the correct name.
Any tickets already booked under your previous name (or version of your name) will require the presentation of documentation (marriage certificate, legal name change documents) at the airport before the TSA (or other national border security agency) will allow you to board if you do not yet have government issued identification that contains the new name. If you have more detailed questions about the documents that will be required or accepted, contact the relevant airline.
Any airline credits that were attached to your Spotnana profile may not be valid if you change your name. Each airline has its own policies for governing how credits are handled in the event of a name change and these policies are subject to change. If you plan to change your profile name, you should contact the specific airline(s) regarding the effects of that change on any existing credits and/or tickets that have already been issued.
Depending on how your system has been configured, some travelers may be unable to edit the name fields in their user profile. This occurs when your HR database feed prevents the value of your legal name from being edited via the Profile page (to ensure synchronization works correctly). However, you will still be able to edit and store your traveler name on the Checkout page when making bookings. The reason we maintain separate “legal” and “traveler” names is that certain names contain special characters, hyphens, or accents that may not be accepted by airline carriers for ticketing.
- Log in to the Online Booking Tool.
- In the top right, locate the icon with your initial(s) and expand the menu next to it.
- Select My Profile. The Profile page will be displayed.
- Edit the values in the First, Last, or Middle fields in the Traveler Name section of the page as needed. The name fields do not accept special characters (hyphens, etc.) or non-standard English alphabet characters (e.g., ä).
- Click Save. Your profile name will be updated.
