April 2026 - Release Notes
Here are the most recent enhancements to Spotnana’s Travel-as-a-Service Platform. The features are grouped by functional category (Content, Self-service, etc.).
Traveler Experience
Seat selection during flight exchange
Travelers can now select a seat during the flight exchange process. Previously, seat selection was available after the exchange was completed. Available seats and pricing are now accessible directly within checkout as soon as the traveler selects a new flight. The platform automatically assigns a seat based on the traveler’s profile preferences but the traveler can always select a different seat if desired.
To learn more, see Modify a flight booking.
Clearer messaging for flight bookings blocked by policy settings
We’ve improved how policy-blocked flight options are displayed within search so travelers can clearly see why a fare is not allowed or when an entire cabin is unavailable. This helps them avoid exploring options that can’t be booked.
Key enhancements include:
- Clickable policy-restricted fare – Travelers can now click on any policy-restricted fare to immediately view the specific reason for the restriction.
- Policy-restricted cabin indicators – When every fare within a specific cabin class is restricted by policy, the cabin is now clearly marked as unavailable.
Automatic mobile push notifications for traveler notes
Travelers now receive real-time mobile push notifications when agents add or update notes on their trips. Tapping the notification takes the traveler directly to a unified Notes for Traveler view, displaying both trip-level and booking-level notes in one place. This ensures the ability to immediately view critical updates without relying on agent email summaries. Agents and coordinators still retain the option to send supplemental email notifications as needed.
Trip details page: Faster load times
We’ve significantly reduced the time it takes to open and view the contents of the Trip details page, ensuring travelers and agents have quick access to itinerary information.
Key enhancements include:
- Instant page rendering – The page now loads immediately using available data while fresher details are fetched in the background.
- Reduced latency – Load times for trips with air bookings have been reduced from 10–30 seconds down to 1–4 seconds.
- Real-time status updates – A "Fetching latest trip details" message appears when background updates are being retrieved to provide better status visibility.
- High-traffic stability – Improvements to our backend systems ensure fast, consistent performance even during periods of peak user demand.
Travel Management
Mobile approvals: Push notifications and in-app management
Approvers can now access a dedicated My Approvals page in the mobile app (under Profile) and receive push notifications for pending booking requests.
Key capabilities include:
- Direct link – Tapping a notification takes approvers straight to the My Approvals page, where they can view full request details (the same information available in the desktop approval dashboard).
- One-touch actions – Approvers can approve or deny requests directly within the mobile app.
- Expiration reminders – For hard approvals, a reminder notification is automatically sent one hour before the request expires.
For more details on managing approval notifications, see Setting notification preferences.
Email notification recipient settings for all trips
Agents, travel arrangers, and company administrators can now add CC or BCC recipients on any trip to ensure all necessary stakeholders stay informed. Recipients are added to a trip from Trip information on the Trip details page. This feature is only visible to agents, arrangers, and administrators; it remains hidden from travelers.
To learn more, see View trips for travelers in your company and View trips you have booked for others.
TMC Management
Restricted access to credit card unmasking
TMCs can now restrict the ability to unmask credit card numbers to a designated group of authorized users. Previously, credit card unmasking was accessible to all TMC administrators and agents across all managed companies.
Key features include:
- Authorized user lists – TMCs can define a specific list of users (using their email addresses) who are permitted to unmask credit cards. To activate this restriction, the list must be shared with your Spotnana Account Representative. Once enabled, only users on the list will be able to unmask credit card numbers.
- Comprehensive coverage – These restrictions apply across all card unmasking touchpoints within the platform.
- Flexible opt-in – This feature is optional. If you provide a list of authorized users, only those users will be able to unmask credit cards. If no list is provided, all TMC administrators and agents will continue to have access as they do today.
To enable this feature, please contact your Account Manager. To learn more, see Only allow specific users to unmask credit card numbers (where allowed) in Spotnana University.
