January 2026 - Release Notes
Here are the most recent enhancements to Spotnana’s Travel-as-a-Service Platform. The features are grouped by functional category (Content, Self-service, etc.).
Content
Booking.com direct integration
We have built a direct integration into Booking.com’s APIs, giving our partners and customers access to Booking.com’s full global inventory, along with rates previously available to most corporate travelers only through the Booking.com website.
With this integration, travelers benefit from a consumer-grade user experience with self-service trip modifications and cancellations. Travel agents are also empowered to address global servicing requests for Booking.com fares seamlessly through Spotnana’s agent desktop.
Our TMC partners can choose to activate this new integration using the configurable content controls available within Spotnana Cloud for TMCs.
Additional benefits for travel buyers and sellers include:
- Access to flexible pre-paid and pay-at-property options
- Loyalty member rates
- Closed user group pricing
- Last-minute deals, deals of the day, and seasonal promotions
- Support for long‑stay bookings
- A “work‑friendly” tag for non‑hotel accommodation
- Consolidated multi‑language responses within a single request

Travel Experience
Mobile app support for traveler on speciality trips
Travelers invited to events or specialty trips via our Trip templates feature can now book and manage their trips directly within the Spotnana mobile app.
Previously, these trips could only be accessed via mobile web or desktop. With this update, travelers can:
- Book trips directly in the app after receiving an invite
- View and manage trip details post-booking
This enhancement ensures a mobile-first experience and brings Trip template-based functionality to parity across mobile and desktop.
Save and manage visa information in the Spotnana mobile app
Travelers can now view, add, and update their visa information directly within the Spotnana mobile app, bringing parity with the desktop experience.
To manage visas in the app, simply navigate to: Profile → Travel Documents → Visas. From there, travelers can:
- Add new visas
- Edit existing visa information
- Delete visas
This update makes it easier for travelers to keep all their travel documents up to date, right from their mobile device.
Travel Management
Email notifications when trip invoices are uploaded
Travelers, travel arrangers, and company administrators can now receive email notifications when new trip invoices become available. With this update, travelers and organizations are automatically informed when invoices are uploaded if the relevant notification options have been enabled. Two notification options are available:
- User-level notifications: Travelers and travel arrangers can enable email notifications for newly available invoices in their Profile settings. Notifications are disabled by default, but when enabled, users will receive an email any time an invoice is uploaded to one of their trips.
- Organization-level notifications: Company administrators can designate that email notifications be sent to a centralized email address when invoices are made available. This allows finance teams or administrators to receive alerts when invoices become available across the organization.
To learn more, see Setting notification preferences and Set company notifications.
Enhanced payment history
We’ve redesigned the payment history section on trip invoices to give travelers, finance teams, and TMC partners a clearer, more complete view of trip costs. These changes help with streamlining reconciliation, expense reporting, and tax compliance.
Key improvements include:
- TMC invoice number integration – Invoice numbers generated by TMC backoffices can now be sent via API and displayed in the payment history.
- MCO and flight credit visibility – Miscellaneous Charge Orders and flight credits applied to bookings are now displayed.
- Clear payment method descriptions – Payment methods are labeled clearly and accurately for every transaction.
- Agency and billing entity details displayed – “Sold by” and “Bill to” information is displayed for all transactions.
- Itemized tax breakdown by supplier – View detailed tax information for air, hotel, car, rail, and service fees. This initial release only includes Canada tax breakdowns when the supplier is NDC or Sabre.
These updates make it easier for travelers to track costs, submit expenses, and keep all travel financial details in one place. For our partners, the changes provide a complete, single view of all financial transactions, helping ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
Ability to add contact details at the trip-level
The Trip information section on the Trips page has been enhanced to centralize Trip details, Trip description, and Trip contacts, creating a cleaner and more organized experience. Agents, arrangers, and administrators can now easily add stakeholder contact information directly to a trip. This new functionality provides a structured way to input contacts at the trip level, which was previously unavailable. While beneficial for all bookings, this update is particularly useful for managing complex travel events like interviews, group events, or relocations.
Key capabilities include:
- Structured contact management – Agents, administrators, and arrangers can add multiple contacts, including a name, email, and phone number for each.
- Primary contact designation – One contact can be marked as the primary contact for quick reference.
- Granular visibility controls – Each contact can be set as traveler-facing or restricted to agents and administrators only.
- Accessible in itinerary emails – Traveler-facing contacts are automatically included in itinerary emails.

TMC Management
Identify Partner TMC reservations in the queue dashboard
TMC agents and administrators can now easily identify reservations in the queue dashboard that belong to their Partner TMCs. If the booking TMC and the Partner TMC are the same, the booking TMC is displayed. This helps enhance operational efficiency and ensures agents can easily identify partner-related reservations directly from the dashboard.
To enable this feature, please reach out to your Spotnana Account Manager.
Agent Experience
Reassign tasks on the queue dashboard
Agents can now reassign tasks to other available agents using a new override option. This enhances the existing task assignment functionality (which automatically assigns tasks based on agent skillsets or grouping logic) by allowing for manual reassignment.
Previously, manual reassignment of an already assigned task could only be done by TMC administrators. This update ensures that tasks are routed to the most appropriate agent based on factors like availability, skillsets, and the organizational structure.
