Calendar notifications for bookings
When you make travel bookings for trips on the Spotnana platform, you generally receive itinerary email notifications that provide details on the bookings you have made (this may depend on how you have you have set your notification preferences). In addition, those emails will also contain ICS files that can be used to add placeholders to your calendar application to remind you of when the bookings will occur.
All bookings for a trip are sent in a single consolidated ICS file (calendar invite). Once this invite has been added to your calendar, any subsequent changes to your bookings will simply update the same invite (and the placeholders in your calendar will also be updated automatically).
- For Outlook calendar users: You must open the emailed invite to apply updates or cancellations. If the invite contains more than one event, you will be prompted to “add all events.”
- For Google calendar users: The ICS file is automatically added to the calendar (the placeholders will be displayed as tentative until accepted).
