Adding trips and bookings to your calendar

It may be helpful for you to add an event to your calendar to remind you of when your trip is and serve as a placeholder for your trip details. Of course, you can always find all information relevant to your trip in the Trips page on the Spotnana Online Booking Tool.

Add an Outlook calendar event for your trip or booking

To add your trip details to an Outlook calendar event:

  1. Locate your email confirmation in Outlook or the relevant trip details on the Trips page in the Spotnana Online Booking Tool. That email will contain an ICS file.
  2. Click Add to calendar in your email confirmation. The booking will be added to your Outlook calendar.

We do not automatically add these ICS files to your calendar because doing so can create disruptive calendar activity. In addition, Outlook automatically deletes such events if they are accidentally declined. To ensure a smoother experience and respect individual preferences, we allow you to manually select which bookings you want added to your Outlook calendar.

Add a Google calendar event for your trip or booking

To add your trip details to a Google calendar event:

  1. Locate your email confirmation in your email app or the relevant trip details on the Trips page in the Spotnana Online Booking Tool.
  2. Open Google Calendar on your computer or mobile device.
  3. Click the + icon next to Create.
  4. Select Event to create a new event.
  5. Enter a name for the event.
  6. Click More options. This will display all the fields for the event.
  7. Enter all the desired details of your trip itinerary (e.g., date, time, location, description) and set any reminders.
  8. Click Save when done. The event will be added to your Google calendar.
Any changes make to your trip or booking after you create the Google calendar event will not be reflected in the event because it is not actually linked to the booking(s).
