February 2023 - Release Notes

Here are the most recent enhancements to Spotnana’s Travel-as-a-Service Platform. The features are grouped by functional category (Content, Self-service, etc.):

Policy and Reporting
New data fields in transaction reports
New fields have been added to the Air Transactions, Hotel Transactions, and Car Transactions reports to enable you to calculate savings from negotiated rates. These new fields are located within the table of metrics at the bottom of each transaction report. For full details on reports, see the Spotnana Analytics Reports Guide. The newly added fields are:
  • Rate Type - Possible values are published, company negotiated, and TMC negotiated.
  • Rate Source - For example, Sabre or NDC.
  • Rate Code - The rate code associated with the negotiated rate.
  • Published Price USD - The actual published price in U.S. dollars.
  • Published Price (billing Currency) - The actual published price in the billing currency.
To ensure you get the most out of these new fields, consider the following:
  • The published rate for hotels is the rate that has been published for a given room type with the same refund options. This rate does not include any discounts.
  • In some instances, the negotiated rate can be more than the published rate. This can be caused by the fact that the negotiated rate includes additional amenities or perks (insurance, gym access, free Wi-Fi, etc.).
  • The fields that have just been added to the reports listed above will only contain data for transactions recorded after January 5th, 2023. These fields will not contain any data for transactions prior to that date.
  • The published rate will also be displayed for canceled transactions.
  • Any potential savings associated with federal, government, military, or senior citizen rates are not currently reflected in these reports.
To determine your savings on a negotiated rate, just subtract the value in Gross Spend (existing field) from the Published Price (new field) and you now have the savings your company received from your negotiated rates.

Integrations
Workday HR feed integration
Spotnana is now integrated with Workday. If you use Workday as your HR Software, Spotnana is now able to ingest a data feed and automatically update your user information on a regular basis. This includes new hires, roles, names, promotions, and terminations, as well as other details.

Search and Trips
Expired fare notification for flights
If the price of a flight changes during the checkout process, the user will now receive a notification of the fare changes with the option to proceed or start a new fare search. If the fare has increased enough to cause it to now be out of policy, the user may be required to provide a reason code in order to proceed.

Enhanced AA NDC functionality
We’re continuing to deepen our NDC integration with American Airlines. Users of the Spotnana Online Booking Tool will now be able to make the following changes to existing AA NDC bookings post ticketing:
  • Add / edit TSA number
  • Add / edit Redress number
  • Add / edit Known Traveler Number (KTN)
  • Add / edit seat selections

Self-Service
First time user password setup on mobile
New Spotnana users who do not have single-sign on (SSO) permissions will now be clearly directed to create a password for their account if their first login occurs on our mobile app.

Traveler Experience
Notes for travelers in trip details
Administrators, arrangers, and agents can now use our desktop application to create notes that relay pertinent information to the traveler about their trips (e.g., early check-in granted, refund processed, upgrade confirmed, etc.). Travelers can then see these notes in the desktop and mobile app as well as receive notifications in the mobile app when a note is added.

Agent desktop enhancements While most traveler needs can be handled on the Spotnana desktop or mobile app, if any extra assistance is needed, Spotnana agents are available to help. We continue to develop our Agent Desktop, which enables our agents to provide efficient and personalized service to support traveler experiences.
Here are a few features we have added:
  • Agent companion view - Agents can service inquiries faster if they have all the relevant traveler details easily available when booking or making changes to a trip. Agent companion view does just that by providing a panel that contains key traveler information like personal and work details, preferences, loyalty programs, and payment methods so agents can quickly familiarize themselves with the traveler.
  • Trip Activity feed - Behind the scenes, several agents may be supporting your inquiry. We have added a trip activity feed to the Agent Desktop where agents can review all related trip information, history of changes, and comments from other agents in one place, allowing agents to collaborate and serve your needs faster.
  • Agent desktop queues enhancements - To streamline agent workflows and improve task prioritization, we’ve enhanced our Agent Desktop to allow agents to group tasks by specific records, easily view color coded tasks by priority, quickly hover over tasks to view relevant details, and filter essential information in tasks to quickly address traveler needs.
