Set ticket types allowed for air travel

Administrators are able to use policy settings to determine what types of airline tickets travelers are able to book. You can set whether travelers are able to book basic economy fares and what the highest cabin class may be for domestic and international flights. In addition, you can set whether the tickets travelers buy must have specific change and/or refund options.

Set the change or refund requirements for air travel tickets

  1. Select Policies from the Program menu. The Settings page will be displayed with the Policy branch expanded on the left hand side.
  2. Select the desired policy (the Default policy is displayed by default). The selected policy will be displayed.
  3. Expand the Flight section.
  4. To set the refund options that will be in policy, select the desired setting from the Refundable tickets menu. Options are:
    • Any (allow all) - Allow all fare rules. Refundable, partially refundable, and non-refundable are allowed.
    • Fully refundable fares only - Allow only fully refundable fares (without a fee). All other fares will be out of policy.
    • Partially refundable fares only - Allow only partially refundable fares (e.g., refund for $100). Fully refundable and non-refundable fares will be out of policy.
    • Non-refundable fares only - Allow only non-refundable fares. Fully and partially refundable fares will be out of policy.
  5. To set the change options that will be in policy, select the desired setting from the Changeable tickets menu. Options are:
    • Any (allow all) - Allow all fare rules. Changeable, partially changeable, and non-changeable are allowed.
    • Fully changeable fares only - Allow only fully changeable fares (without a fee). All other fares will be out of policy.
    • Partially changeable fares only - Allow only partially changeable fares (e.g., change for $100). Fully changeable and non-changeable fares will be out of policy.
    • Non-changeable fares only - Allow only non-changeable fares. Fully and partially changeable fares will be out of policy.
  6. When done, click Save changes
