Approval deadline expires before your trip was approved
In some cases, based on your company's travel policies, your travel booking may require approval by an approver. That approval must be obtained before a specific date or deadline.
If the approval deadline expires before you have received approval for your travel booking, the booking will be canceled. If this occurs, simply recreate your booking using the relevant procedure:
- Book a flight
- Book a hotel
- Book a rental car
- Book a rail trip (U.S. - Amtrak)
- Book a rail trip (for Europe and the UK)
You may also contact your assigned approver to ensure they are aware of your new booking and the required approval.
Penalty-free void periods: - For most airlines, air bookings for any flights originating or arriving in the U.S. can be cancelled without penalty fees within 24 hours of the booking being made so long as the flight is at least 7 days in the future. - For flights fully outside the U.S., most flights can be cancelled penalty free within the same day they were booked.
