Pay for ancillaries with your personal card (Air)
In some cases, your company's travel policy may not allow the purchasing ancillaries (e.g., seat selection, additional luggage, early check-in) for air bookings. When this occurs, we let you pay for these ancillaries using your personal credit card. To support this, our checkout page allows you to apply two separate credit cards when making an air booking: a company credit card for your in-policy travel booking, and your personal credit card for the ancillaries you’ve selected.
The ability to use 2 separate payment methods during checkout (also called Split payments) is a feature that must be enabled by your company administrator. Otherwise, you will not be able to apply more than one payment method during checkout.
To pay for ancillaries using split payments
- Login to the Online Booking Tool.
- Search for your flights and select a flight that complies with your company’s travel policy.
- On the first Checkout page, choose the desired ancillaries for your booking.
- For example, assume you’ve picked a flight which has a total fare of $541.14. During checkout, you also select a preferred seat and a 20 lb baggage provision which costs you an additional $130.
- On the subsequent second Checkout page, under Payment Method, the total fare will be split between the flight and the selected ancillaries.
- Select the payment methods to be used for your fare and ancillaries.
- For the flight fare, a default credit card may already be selected or your company may allow specific payment methods to be used. You'll be able to choose from a list of company-provided payment methods.
- For the ancillaries, select your personal credit card (it may already be selected). If you have not yet added a personal card as a payment method, click Add new card and enter the details for your personal credit card. This card will be charged for ancillaries.
- After selecting the desired payment methods, click Book Flight to initiate your booking. The 2 credit cards will be charged for the relevant costs of the booking.
