Travel restrictions and visa requirements check (via Sherpa)

Use this procedure to check the restrictions and visa requirements that are relevant for the travel you are planning and apply for any necessary visas.

Spotnana's Online Booking Tool allows you to review the travel restrictions and visa requirements relevant your planned travel booking in advance of your trip as well as apply for any visas that may be required. This feature is powered by Sherpa.

Before finalizing a booking, you can review any visa requirements on the Checkout page. If the booking has already been made, you can review visa requirements on the Trips page. 
When the booking is made, you will receive an email from Spotnana to remind you to check visa requirements. If a visa is needed, you can apply online within the Spotnana Online Booking Tool. Be sure you leave adequate time for your visa to be processed and obtained prior to departure.

Review travel restrictions and visa requirements

1. Log in to the Online Booking Tool.
2. Click Book on the main menu.
3. Expand the Travel restrictions and visa requirements section. 
4. Ensure that the Passport and COVID-19 fields are set correctly. These values should be pre-set based on your profile (but it's important to check them to ensure correct results).
5. Enter the departure and arrival locations in the Where from? and Where to? fields. 
6. If your travel involves any intermediate stops or connecting flights, you can add additional stops by clicking Add connection. Depending on your passport, the location(s) of your connecting flight(s) may require a transit visa. It is important to enter these locations to retrieve accurate visa requirements for the countries you may be traveling to or through to get to your destination. 
7. Enter the dates of travel in the Depart and Return fields. 
8. Click See requirements. The travel restrictions and visa requirements for your trip will be displayed. This information is presented in the following sections (expand each to view its contents):
   • Visa Requirements: Any visa requirements for your travel will be displayed (this is based on the passport you hold or are traveling under). 
     • If you require a visa for this trip, contact the relevant embassy or consulate in your home country. If an e-visa is available, you can click Apply Online to apply for it. To view details about the visa, click See details.
   • Travel Restrictions: Any international travel restrictions associated with your travel will be displayed. 
   • Documents and Forms: Any documents and forms (e.g., passport) that are required for your travel will be displayed.
   • Public Health Requirements: Any health related requirements (e.g., vaccinations, mask usage, etc.) relevant to your travel will be displayed. 
   • Additional Information: Any additional information relevant to your travel will be displayed.
