Edit a custom field

Use this procedure to edit a custom field.

This feature is only available to company administrators.
  1. Login to the Online Booking tool.
  2. Select Company from the Program menu. The Settings page will be displayed.
  3. Select Custom fields from the Configuration section on the left. The Custom fields page will be displayed.
  4. Locate the custom field you wish to edit . You can use the search field to look up the field name or description of the desired custom field.
  5. Select View/Edit from the three dots menu in the desired row. The custom field definition will be displayed. You can also use the toggle in the Status column to enable or disable a specific custom field. The custom field page will be displayed.
  6. To edit the Field name, Description, or Capture once, for every new trip setting for the custom field, click the pencil (edit) icon (next to the custom field's name). The Custom field details dialog will be displayed. You can edit any of these values.
    • The value in the Field name is displayed to travelers. The value in the Description field is only displayed to other administrators and should be used to help them understand the purpose of the field.
    • If the Capture once, for every new trip setting is enabled, the information associated with this custom field will only be captured once per trip (not once per booking in the trip). Once the information has been captured, the system will not present the field to that traveler again for that trip.
If disabled, the information associated with this custom field will be captured once for each booking in a trip.
  7. Click Confirm. A page will be displayed with the name of the custom field.
  8. Select the Configure tab (if it is not already selected).
  9. Select Edit response settings or Edit response list from the three dots menu depending on what you wish to edit.
  10. Then, edit the response settings or response list as desired. For more details on the settings you can edit, see Create a custom field.
  11. Click Save changes when done.
You can also reorder the sequence in which the custom fields are listed by using the 6-dot handle of each row to drag it to the desired location. The order in which fields are listed on the Custom fields page determines the order in which those fields will appear to travelers during checkout and on the Trips page. Only fields that match the conditions you define will be displayed.
Remember to enable your custom field by selecting its Status toggle on the main Custom fields page. If you do not enable the custom field, it will not be displayed to travelers or begin capturing data.
To disable an existing custom field, set its Status toggle to off on the main Custom fields page.
